Professional Glass Restoration
Following the initial grinding stage, the Metal Sanding Disc is used with Heavy Red Polishing Paste to remove grinding marks and begin levelling the repair. A second clean disc is then used with Medium Pink Polishing Paste to refine the surface before final polishing.
Using a dedicated disc for each compound prevents contamination and helps produce a smooth, distortion-free finish.
Four-Step Repair Process
Step 1: Grind the damaged area using the Red Sanding Head (93063) and Black Grinding Paste (93120). SAW360 speed: 1.
Step 2: Apply Heavy Red Polishing Paste (93100) with a clean Metal Sanding Disc (PPS-93061). Speed: 3.5.
Step 3: Apply Medium Pink Polishing Paste (93110) with a separate clean Metal Sanding Disc (PPS-93061). Speed: 3.5.
Step 4: Finish with the Scratch Away® Glass Polishing Disc (93054) to restore optical clarity and a distortion-free finish. Speed: 3.5.
Important Information
Always use a separate clean Metal Sanding Disc for each polishing compound to maintain performance and avoid contamination.
